Pressly posts 11 kills and three service aces in defeat
OMAHA, Neb. – DePaul volleyball fell to No.5 Creighton 3-0 (22-25, 19-25, 17-25) Friday afternoon, marking the end of their BIG EAST Tournament run.
Outside hitter Jill Pressly paced the Blue Demon offense, with 11 kills and three service aces, all three of which came in the opening set. Middle blocker Aly Kindelberger poured in nine kills of her own, and freshman Luisa Juncu added seven.
Rachel Krasowski, the 2024 BIG EAST Libero of the Year, led DePaul on defense, tallying 11 digs. Both Ashley Cudiamat and Amanda Saeger notched double-figure assists, with Saeger also adding ten digs for her 11th career double-double.
"That was some of the best volleyball we have played in this tournament," said head coach Marie Zidek.
"I thought our team went hard in every phase, and really went for it against the No.5 team in the country. Kendra Wait is really a special player that protects her team's ability to hold whatever the match situation is. What our DePaul group has done to put our program in contention is incredible. We fought and fought and fought, and played with tremendous joy. This group has a lot to be proud of."
Creighton was led by Norah Sis, who hit 18 kills at a .441 clip.
