Jaiah Hopf Selected BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week

Hopf secures second career weekly honor
CHICAGO – DePaul track and field junior Jaiah Hopf was named BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. This marks her second career weekly honor following a first-place finish in the triple jump on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Blue Demon Holiday Classic.
In a field of 12 entrants, Hopf secured gold with a distance of 12.54m on her sixth and final attempt. The impressive mark ranked as the eighth-best Division-I triple jump performance in 2025 at the time.
The junior jumper previously earned her first BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week award on April 3, 2024, after a standout showing at the Texas Relays.
Hopf recorded her career-best triple jump on Friday, Feb. 10, with a mark of 12.67m at the GVSU Big Meet.

DePaul travels to Madison, Wis. to compete at the Badger Midwest Invite on Saturday, Jan. 11.
