Golf Wraps Up BIG EAST Match Play

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. – DePaul golf wrapped up its first competition of the spring season on Tuesday, falling to Butler 5-2-0, in the final round of BIG EAST Match Play at Bear Lakes Country Club.

Conor Glennon picked up his third win of the event with a 1UP decision over the Bulldogs' Leo Zurnovac. After falling behind early, Glennon posted a strong back nine including a birdie on the 18th hole to earn the point for the Blue Demons.

Graduate student Noah Kolar defeated Damon Dickey 4&2, claiming his first victory of the event by a substantial margin.

At the No. 2 spot, Billy Gneiser finished three rounds with a team-best nine birdies while reaching par on 38 holes which led the entire field.

As a team, DePaul finished sixth among the eight-team field. UConn took home the team title.
