The Blue Demons complete day one of the Drake Relays

Des Moines – DePaul track and field completed day one of the Drake Relays, Friday evening with two new school records. Olivia Borowiak broke her school record in the 1500m for a second time this season while the women's 4x800m relay team topped theirs from last year.

Darius Brown took first in men's 110m hurdles to start the day, qualifying for tomorrow's championship with a final time of 13.80.

Later on, Brown teamed up with Charles Lewis, Dominic Cole, Cameron Attucks to qualify the men's 4x100m relay team for finals tomorrow with a final time of 40.81. This the first DePaul men's 4x100m relay team to ever make it to finals at the Drake Relays.

On the women's side, the 4x800m relay team made up of Alexa Havon, Sonja Nagle, Isabella Orozco and Meghan Dieball broke the school record from last year with a final time of 8:48.07.

Borowiak broke the second school record of the night, running a final time of 4:22.72 in the women's 1500m. Borowiak broke the school record earlier this season at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

On the field, Kash Allen collected a new personal best throw in the women's shot put with a final mark of 15.59m. Kindle Miles also earned a new personal best in the women's shot put with a final throw of 14.04m.

To round out the competition, Nadja Moll ran a new personal best in the women's 400m with a final time of 55.86.
