DePaul Men’s Soccer Announces 2024 Schedule

Blue Demons host eight regular season home matches at Wish Field
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer head coach Mark Plotkin announced the 2024 schedule on Monday, July 15. The Blue Demons will host 10 home matches at Wish Field in 2024 including eight in the regular season.
DePaul will open the season with three exhibition matches, beginning with a tilt against Bradley on Saturday, Aug. 10 at Wish Field in the second match of a doubleheader with DePaul's women's soccer program. The Blue Demons will turnaround to host Harper on Monday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. before hitting the road to Ann Arbor, Mich. Friday, Aug. 16 to close out the preseason against Michigan.
The regular season begins on Thursday, Aug. 22 with the first of three road matches to open the campaign with a visit to UIC set to kickoff at 8 p.m. DePaul will make the short trip to Evanston on Sunday, Aug. 25 to square off against Northwestern before rounding out the road series at St. Thomas on Thursday, Aug. 29.
The Blue Demons will open a four-match homestand on Monday, Sept. 2 when Drake visits Lincoln Park. Matches against Wright State (Sept. 8) and Mercyhurst (Sept. 13) serve as the precursor for the BIG EAST Opener against UConn on Friday, Sept. 20 at home.
The league enters its second season of a two-division format in 2024, seeing each squad playing its five divisional members once in addition to three crossover matches. DePaul will face Midwest Division members Akron, Butler, Creighton, Marquette and Xavier while meeting East Division programs, Connecticut, St. John's and Georgetown.
Following its match against the Huskies, DePaul will step out of conference play for its penultimate non-conference test on Tuesday, Sept. 24 against Loyola Chicago.
Plotkin and Co. will close out the month of September with a visit from the 2023 BIG EAST Conference Champions, Xavier, on Saturday, Sept. 28.
DePaul travels to Omaha, Neb. to face Creighton on Oct. 4 before turning to host Oakland on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in its final non-conference contest of the 2024 campaign.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, the Blue Demons will take on St. John's in Queens, N.Y. for the first time in two seasons with first touch from Belson Stadium scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
The home portion of the 2024 schedule concludes with a pair of league matches against Akron (Oct. 19) and longtime foe Marquette (Oct. 23).
The Blue Demons will close out the regular season away from home with trips to Georgetown (Oct. 26) and Butler (Nov. 2).
The 2024 BG EAST Men's Soccer Championship Presented by Jeep is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Nov. 9 with the semifinals and final held on November 14 and 17 in Boyds, Md.
Broadcast designations for the fall slate will be announced at a later date.
