Three Student-Athletes Earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

CHICAGO - Â Three DePaul volleyball student-athletes received Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (previously CoSIDA), Tuesday afternoon. The announcement honored Jade Dudley-Epps, Katelyn Oxley and Amanda Saeger for their standout performance in the classroom and on the volleyball court. The honor is the second of Oxley's career and the first for both Dudley-Epps and Saeger.

Oxley maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average while currently working towards her master's in business administration in business analytics. Oxley graduated from DePaul in June with her bachelor's degree in finance. On the court, Oxley played in every set this season for the Blue Demons where she ranked fifth in the BIG EAST in blocks per set and eighth in hitting percentage.

Dudley-Epps is working towards her bachelor's degree in health sciences, where she maintains above a 3.8 grade-point average. In her first season as Blue Demon, Dudley-Epps ranked third in the BIG EAST with 1.18 blocks per set and had a team-high 121 blocks across the season. Additionally, she contributed 217 kills across 28 matches played.

Saeger also maintains a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while pursuing a double major in accounting and business analytics, in addition to being a member of the honors program. Sager was DePaul's primary setter throughout the 2024 season, where she ranked fifth in the BIG EAST with 8.84 assists per set.

Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators, Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions. Teams are announced year round and amplified by CSC member colleges, universities, and conferences on a wide local, regional, national, and even international scope. To be eligible, student-athletes must be academically a sophomore level and maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, in addition to participating in 90 percent of the institution's matches.
