Kendall Timme Named to Preseason All-BIG EAST Team

Sophomore outside hitter one of four unanimous selections
CHICAGO – DePaul volleyball sophomore outside hitter Kendall Timme was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, as voted on by the league's head coaches ahead of the 2026 season. Timme was one of four unanimous selections to the 13-member team.
Timme, the reigning BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, earned the preseason nod after a standout debut campaign in 2025. She powered DePaul's offense and led the league's rookies in kills (3.29/set), points (4.01/set) and aces (0.45/set), totaling 19 matches with double-digit kills, including two 20-plus kill outings. Timme also averaged 2.53 digs and 0.50 blocks per set while appearing in all 58 conference sets for the Blue Demons.
The Blue Demons welcome back a core of 13 letterwinners from a 2025 squad that went 14-13, while welcoming in five newcomers to the fold this fall.
DePaul was picked to finish fifth in the BIG EAST in the preseason coaches' poll, receiving 62 points. Creighton was tabbed the league favorite with 100 points and 10 first-place votes, followed by Villanova (86), Marquette (82, one first-place vote) and Xavier (75).
Villanova's Abby Harrell was named Preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year.
DePaul closes out its preseason schedule Saturday when it hosts Iowa for an exhibition match at McGrath-Phillips Arena. First serve is set for 3 p.m. The Blue Demons open the 2026 regular season Aug. 28-30 at the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
