DePaul Student-Athletes Complete Standout Fall Quarter

Blue Demons have fourth-straight quarter above a 3.5
CHICAGO – For the fourth-consecutive quarter, DePaul student-athletes recorded a cumulative grade-point average above a 3.5, registering a 3.552. Over 85 percent of Blue Demon student-athletes achieved Athletics Director Honor Roll accolades for recording above a 3.0 grade-point average.
"Academic excellence is at the heart of the DePaul experience," said Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy. "Our student-athletes' commitment to success in the classroom reflects the values and academic standards we proudly uphold as they continue to represent DePaul in a way that makes our entire University proud."
Men's tennis led all teams with a 3.817 grade-point average this fall, while a total of six teams recorded above a 3.7. A total of 165 student-athletes earned DePaul University Dean's List accolades for recording above a 3.5 while 57 of those students achieved a perfect 4.0.
DePaul's strategic plan, initially introduced in 2021, includes five guiding principles including Academic Excellence. Academic Excellence is rooted in the goal of promoting holistic student-athlete development and developing the leaders of tomorrow by enabling student-athletes to achieve their education, professional and personal goals. DePaul student-athletes recorded the highest academic year grade-point average on record to conclude the 2024-25 academic year.
