DePaul Concludes Day One at Meyo Invite

Allen, Gary, Hopf headline Blue Demon performances
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – DePaul track and field concluded its first of two days at the Meyo Invitational, securing multiple top-five finishes across a number of events on Friday.
Field events saw Jaiah Hopf secure her first long jump victory of the season with a mark of 5.80m. Jaiden Gary continued his dominance in the shot put, winning the event for the second meet in a row after recording a throw of 17.37m. Kash Allen also impressed in the shot put, taking third with a mark of 14.67m—her fourth top-three finish this season.
On the track, Jack Ward competed in the men's 600m, finishing in 1:21.06 to place seventh. Sonja Nagle raced in the women's 600m, clocking 1:33.34 for ninth. Lauren Pacsi ran a season-best 1:36.04 in the same event, finishing 13th, while Amelia Montgomery followed with a personal-best 1:36.60 for 14th. In the men's 200m, Jayvion Cunningham posted a season-best 22.99. Nevaeh Lowe also raced in the women's 60m qualifying, advancing with a sixth-place finish in 7.71.
DePaul looks to carry its momentum into the second and final day of competition at the Meyo Invitational.
