Nobbs and Sechi Named BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week

No. 2 doubles pair earn award after clutch performance
CHICAGO – Senior Eleanor Nobbs and sophomore Roberta Sechi claimed BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, the conference announced.
Nobbs and Sechi tallied a 2-0 record, helping DePaul gain two wins in as many matches at Georgetown and George Washington.
DePaul's No. 2 doubles team defeated Emily Novikov/Katie Garofolo-Ro, 6-2, in its first BIG EAST match of the season against the Hoyas on Friday. The victory propelled the Blue Demons to a 5-2 win. In the following match versus the Revolutionaries, Nobbs and Sechi battled after going down match point to secure a crucial, 7-5, advantage over Madison Lee and Victoria Sasinka in the team's 4-3 victory.

DePaul heads to the Hawkeye State, matching up with Drake on Friday, February 7, and Iowa on Sunday, February 9. The battle with the Bulldogs is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT while the contest against the Hawkeyes is at 12:00 p.m. CT.
