
Men’s Tennis Prepares for Weekend Tilt in Arizona

Blue Demons set to face Northern Arizona, No. 24 Arizona State, Grand Canyon
PHOENIX, Ariz. – DePaul men's tennis hits the road for a trio of matches in the Phoenix-metropolitan area, ready to square off against Northern Arizona (3-1), No. 24 Arizona State (3-2), and Grand Canyon (3-1).
The Blue Demons' weekend begins with a neutral-site match against NAU at 1:30 p.m. CT on Friday in Tempe, Ariz., followed by a matchup with ASU at 5 p.m. CT later that day. The trip concludes on Sunday, Feb. 9, when DePaul faces GCU in Phoenix at 12 p.m. CT.
Friday's matches against Northern Arizona and Arizona State will take place at ASU's outdoor Whiteman Tennis Center. On Sunday, the Blue Demons will meet the 'Lopes at the GCU Tennis Facility.
After dropping their first three matches of the season, the Blue Demons have won their last two, securing 5-2 victories over Le Moyne and Marquette. Marko Milosavljevic and Thomas Giles each claimed singles wins in both matches, leading the team in singles play.
Jona Gitschel and Tobias Leitner earned DePaul's first BIG EAST Weekly Award of the season after a dominant 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles against Marquette. Their honor continues the Blue Demons' success in this category, having won half (six of 12) of the league's weekly doubles awards last season.
