Hudak, Rolle Set Program Records on Day One in Tampa

First-year Blue Demons continue to set new program marks
TAMPA, Fla. – DePaul track and field opened the South Florida Invitational with a series of standout performances on Friday, highlighted by a school record from Dustin Hudak in the men's 800m and another program best from Demetrius Rolle in the 100m.
Making his outdoor debut as a Blue Demon, Hudak took first place in the 800m with a time of 1:48.46, breaking the DePaul outdoor record and continuing his strong freshman campaign. Rolle joined him in the record books by clocking a 10.35 in the 100m, finishing fifth overall and setting a new program mark in the event.
Paul Goins recorded a personal best in the men's 110m hurdles, taking seventh with a time of 14.10. On the track, Charles Lewis paced the Blue Demons in the 200m with a time of 21.32 to place 13th, followed closely by Rolle (21.51) and Dominic Cole (21.53), who took 23rd and 24th, respectively.
In the sprints, Cole added a 17th-place finish in the 100m (10.60), while Daniel Fasasi ran 48.36 in the 400m to finish 22nd.
In the field, Alex Bernstein led the way with a runner-up finish in the hammer throw at 60.40m. Jaiden Gary, who competed in three events, took 19th in the hammer (42.20m), sixth in the shot put (15.87m), and 18th in the discus (41.12m).
