CHICAGO – DePaul men's basketball has officially announced the signing addition of transfer, Kaleb Banks, for the 2025-26 season. Banks is the first transfer addition for DePaul this season, coming to Chicago after a standout junior season at Tulane.
"Kaleb is a great addition to our 2025-26 roster," said head coach Chris Holtmann. "He provides great versatility with his size, length and athleticism. In addition, he shot well from three this season on a significant attempt rate per game. His rebounding, shooting and defense will all provide an immediate impact. We look forward to Kaleb taking the next step and continuing to grow as a player in the BIG EAST Conference."
Banks, a second-team All-AAC member, averaged 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game during the 2024-25 season. He led the Wave in rebounding, blocks and field goal percentage connecting at a 50.6 percent clip from the floor. He finished the season ranking top-10 in the AAC in scoring, rebounding and blocks. His career-best performance came in December against Florida State where he posted 33 points on 55 percent shooting in addition to 16 rebounds.
A Hampton, Ga. native, Banks began his career at Indiana where he was teammates with DePaul's CJ Gunn. In two seasons with the Hoosiers, Banks appeared in 38 games off the bench where he averaged 2.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 8.6 minutes played.
Banks was a four-star recruit out of Fayette County High School where he was Georgia Class 4A Player of the Year as a senior in 2022. He finished his high school career with over 2,000 points after averaging 23 points, 10 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game as a senior.
