DePaul’s Kathleen Doyle to Serve on USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee

CHICAGO – CHICAGO – DePaul assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Kathleen Doyle has been named to the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee. This marks Doyle's first time participating with USA Basketball and the beginning of a three-year stint on the committee.
Serving alongside Doyle on the USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee include committee chair Cori Close (UCLA) in addition to Adia Barnes (SMU), Stefanie Dolson (Washington Mystics/UConn) and Aaron Johnson (Chicago Sky). The committee is tasked with selecting coaches and athletes for USA Basketball college-aged competitions which include the FIBA U19 World Cup; FIBA U18 AmeriCup; and FIBA AmeriCup.
USA Basketball recently announced 21 athletes expected to participate in the 2025 USA Basketball Women's AmeriCup Team Trials at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Trials begin June 17 with the final 12-member roster set to be announced before the team departs for the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup set for June 28-July 6 in Santiago, Chile. The trials roster features nine athletes who have previously claimed gold as a members of various USA Basketball teams.
The coaching staff, selected by the Junior National Team Committee, is comprised of head coach Kara Lawson (Duke) with Delisha Milton-Jones (Old Dominion) and Jennie Baranczyk (Oklahoma) serving as assistant coaches. Creighton's Jim Flanery and Michigan State's Robyn Fralik will act as court coaches for trials.
Doyle joined DePaul's staff in April of 2025 following a one-year stint on staff at Virginia Tech. A native of LaGrange Park, Ill., Doyle was a four-year standout at Iowa and was named 2020 Big Ten Player of the Year before she was drafted in the second round of the 2020 WNBA Draft.
