CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball head coach Jill M. Pizzotti finalized her inaugural staff on Tuesday with the addition of Josiah Turner-Mister as special assistant to the head coach. Pizzotti also announced that Lisa Ryckbosch will remain on staff and serve as the Director of Basketball Operations.
"We are thrilled to welcome a familiar face in Josiah to our program. Given his experience as a men's basketball manager and an operations graduate assistant, he brings valuable insight and dedication that makes him a tremendous addition to our team," said Pizzotti. "His energy, positivity, and attention to detail will make an immediate impact, and we're excited to have a Double Demon join our staff!"
Turner-Mister remains in Lincoln Park after most recently serving as a Sport & Event Operations Graduate Assistant at DePaul. During his two-year tenure, Turner-Mister assisted with team travel, accommodations and meals for men's and women's soccer and softball while also playing a vital role in the men's and women's basketball gameday experience at Wintrust Arena.
"I am truly honored to join Jill's staff. Her leadership and energy make this so much more than just a job, it's an opportunity to be apart of a program that's committed to developing not only great student-athletes, but strong, confident women." Turner-Mister said. "I'm excited to help in any way I can as we work toward our goals together."
The Chicago native spent two seasons as men's basketball student manager from 2021-2023 where he coordinated travel, meals and equipment as well as helped with on court player development.
Turner-Mister earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management from DePaul's Driehaus College of Business in June of 2023 before completing his Master of Science in Management this month.
Ryckbosch will enter her 26th season on staff at DePaul in 2025-26 and her 36th overall in basketball. While she has held various roles in her time in Lincoln Park, Ryckbosch spent the last two seasons as Special Assistant to Head Coach Doug Bruno. As Director of Basketball Operations, Ryckbosch will lead all day-to-day operations efforts including team travel, scheduling and community service efforts while also acting as the primary liaison between the program and various areas within the athletic department.
In between stints at DePaul, Ryckbosch was the head coach at Illinois Chicago (UIC) from 2002-2011. In her playing days, she was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain at Loyola Chicago and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2006.
