CHICAGO – DePaul men's basketball head coach Chris Holtmann announced Monday afternoon that sophomore transfer Amsal Delalić will miss the 2025-26 season due to a torn anterior crucial ligament (ACL). Delalić suffered the injury in an open gym before the start of summer workouts.
"We're really disappointed for Amsal," said Holtmann. "We look forward to him making a full recovery and remaining an important part of this year's team and our programs future."
Delalić signed with DePaul in April following his freshman season at Pitt, where he saw action in 21 games with two starts. A native from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Delalić played professionally with Borac Nektar and Igokea in the Bosnia Division I league before arriving in America. He also played for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2020 U16 European Championship and the 2023 European World Qualifier.
