Frankie K. Signs with DePaul Men's Basketball Through Team IMPACT

CHICAGO - DePaul men's basketball officially welcomed a new member of the squad, Frankie K., on Thursday. The Blue Demons signed Frankie through a partnership with Team IMPACT.Â
Frankie, an eight-year old from Illinois, was joined by the entire DePaul men's basketball program on the Lincoln Park campus Thursday for a signing party. Frankie lives with cerebral palsy and has a love for basketball. As a member of the program, Frankie will attend DePaul practices, games and other team events. Frankie joins fellow Blue Demon Team IMPACT members, Emily (DePaul women's soccer) and Demaiya (DePaul women's basketball).Â
Founded in 2011, Team IMPACT matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved. Team IMPACT has matched more than 2,100 children with 700+ colleges and universities in 49 different states. Team IMPACT's unique multiyear program guides children and teams alike in a mutually beneficial relationship of belonging, empowerment and resilience.Â
