CHICAGO – The DePaul women's tennis team brought home the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award for the 18th consecutive year, highlighting the team's efforts in the classroom during the 2024-25 season. All eight student-athletes received Scholar-Athlete honors.
For each program to earn an All-Academic Team Award, the team must have a minimum of a 3.20 GPA. The Blue Demons easily surpassed the threshold with a 3.869 mark, the best among DePaul's athletic programs.
Individually, Helin Alvarez, Eleanor Cochran, Isabella Gibson, Eva Goncharov, Eleanor Nobbs, Roberta Sechi, Hannah Smith and Sasha Stula all collected Scholar-Athlete awards by maintaining a GPA of at least 3.50 for the entire academic year.
Head coach Marisa Arce has built a successful program on and off the court in six seasons at the helm. Of the 50 eligible players Arce has coached at DePaul, 49 student-athletes won the Scholar-Athlete honor.
In 2025, 1,462 Division I women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 222 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
