Blue Demons Notch 19th Consecutive ITA All-Academic Team Honor

Women's tennis compiles 3.806 GPA in 2025-26
CHICAGO – The DePaul women's tennis team brought home the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award for the 19th consecutive year, highlighting the team's efforts in the classroom during the 2025-26 season. All eight student-athletes received Scholar-Athlete honors.
For each program to earn an All-Academic Team Award, the team must have a minimum of a 3.20 GPA. The Blue Demons easily surpassed the threshold with a 3.806 mark, the best among DePaul's athletic programs this academic year.
Individually, Helin Alvarez, Eleanor Cochran, Isabella Gibson, Yasemin Pehlivan, Roberta Sechi, Hannah Smith, Sasha Stula, and Clara Nilsson all collected Scholar-Athlete awards by maintaining a GPA of at least 3.50 for the entire academic year.
Head coach Marisa Arce has built a successful program on and off the court in seven seasons at the helm. Of the 52 eligible players Arce has coached at DePaul, 51 student-athletes earned the Scholar-Athlete honor.
In 2026, 1,501 Division I women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 231 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
