Georgia Munns Joins Women’s Tennis Coaching Staff

Munns serves as a volunteer instructional assistant
CHICAGO – Georgia Munns is set to join the DePaul women's tennis coaching staff as a volunteer instructional assistant for the 2025-26 season, the team announced Thursday.
Munns spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Northwestern. In 2024, Munns helped coach the Wildcats to a 19-8 record and an appearance in the NCAA tournament.
Prior to her stint in Evanston, Ill., Munns coached at Washington for nine seasons. Munns was elevated to associate head coach for the final three seasons of her tenure with the Huskies. Under Munns leadership, the Huskies went 21-5 and advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2019.
While at South Carolina, Munns earned the ITA Carolina Region Assistant Coach of the Year Award in 2013 after collecting the ITA Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year honor with Illinois the year before.
Munns played for Northwestern (2005-09), bringing home the Big Ten Player of the Year Award in 2007,and finished both 2008 and 2009 ranked second in the country. In 2022, Munns was inducted into the Northwestern Athletics Hall of Fame after being just the second player in program history to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championships each year of her career.
