BIG EAST Schedule Released for 2025-26 Season

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference has officially announced the 2025-26 men's basketball slate, including the dates for DePaul's 20 league games. Times and TV designations will be announced at a later date.
Season tickets for the 2025-26 men's basketball season are on sale now, starting at $250. Tickets are available at DePaulBlueDemons.com/Tickets or by contacting the DePaul Ticket Office at 773-325-7527. Single-game tickets are slated to go on sale to the general public Wednesday, Oct. 1. Additional ticket options including groups, premium seating and flex packs will also be available at a later date. The schedule features six home weekend dates and back-to-back games at Wintrust Arena to end the regular season. The Blue Demons are slated to play 10 regular season games against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Under the direction of Chris Holtmann in his second season, DePaul returns key contributors in NJ Benson, Layden Blocker and CJ Gunn. Holtmann, the 2017 BIG EAST and 2018 Big Ten Coach of the Year, and his staff also added six transfers and four first-year players. DePaul is one of two BIG EAST programs, in addition to UConn, to return three of its top four scorers from the 2024-25 season.
2025-26 BIG EAST Schedule
DePaul ended the 2024-25 season with three-straight wins versus BIG EAST opponents, including a win in the opening round of the BIG EAST Tournament over Georgetown before losing in the tournament quarterfinals to Creighton in double overtime. The late-season run earned DePaul its first postseason appearance since 2019 and boosted DePaul to the greatest improvement in KenPom ranking nationwide from the end of the 2023-24 season.
The Blue Demons 2025-26 conference slate kicks off against the previous two conference champions with a road contest against St. John's Dec. 16 followed by a home game against UConn, Dec. 21. The Blue Demons then ring out 2025 with a road matchup against Villanova on New Year's Eve.
January kicks off with a pair of home games for the Blue Demons, welcoming Xavier and Georgetown to Wintrust Arena, Jan. 3 and 6, respectively. DePaul then travels to Connecticut for its second matchup against the UConn Huskies, Jan. 10. Following a bye, the Blue Demons host Marquette Friday, Jan. 16. DePaul will take a midweek trip to face off against Butler, Jan. 20, before returning home for a Saturday, Jan. 24 date with Seton Hall. The month closes out with a road swing at Georgetown, Jan. 28, and Xavier, Jan. 31.
The month of February kicks off with a home matchup against St. John's, Feb. 3, before DePaul goes back on the road for a Feb. 7 game at Providence. The Blue Demons are slated to host Creighton Feb. 11, followed by a trip to Seton Hall Feb. 18. Wintrust Arena then plays host to Providence Feb. 21 before DePaul hits the road for back-to-back games against Creighton Feb. 25 and Marquette March 1.
DePaul ends the regular-season slate with back-to-back home games. The Blue Demons will host Villanova, March 4, followed by Butler on the final date of the regular season, March 7. The 2026 BIG EAST Tournament returns to Madison Square Garden for the 43rd-consecutive season and is slated to take place March 11-14.
The BIG EAST remains one of the deepest coaching leagues nationwide with nine current head coaches having led a team to the Sweet Sixteen, including Holtmann. Additionally, seven current coaches have won BIG EAST Coach of the Year honors.
