Timme posts 21 kills, Diana ties career high with 16 as DePaul out-blocks Hoyas

WASHINGTON, D.C. — DePaul volleyball trailed in all five sets and came back to win two of them, but Georgetown closed the match on a 4-0 run to win 3-2 (28-26, 22-25, 25-21, 20-25, 10-15) at McDonough Arena Friday. The Blue Demons fall to 8-5 in BIG EAST play and 16-8 overall, while the Hoyas improve to 5-7 and 13-11. Georgetown sweeps the season series, joining Creighton as the only teams to beat DePaul twice this season.

Kendall Timme led DePaul with 21 kills, Martina Diana tied her career high with 16 and Isabela Tavares Salomon added 15. Leonor Polezzi returned to the court and dished out 30 assists, while Amanda Saeger added 23. Five Blue Demons finished with double-digit digs, led by Abby Cahill's 23.
