DePaul Collects 29 All-BIG EAST Honors at Indoor Championships

Strong showing on home track powers conference recognition
CHICAGO – Nineteen DePaul track and field student-athletes combined to earn 29 All-BIG EAST honors, the conference announced following the 2026 BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center in Chicago. The All-BIG EAST Team consists of competitors who finished in the top three in any individual or relay event at the championship meet.
DePaul delivered one of the strongest championship performances in program history on its home track, as both the men's and women's teams secured runner-up finishes in the final standings. The Blue Demons captured eight individual and relay titles during the two-day championship.
Sophomore Sade Miller highlighted the weekend by sweeping the women's sprint titles and earning BIG EAST High Point Performer of the Meet honors (20.0). Miller claimed gold in the 60m (7.34) and 200m (23.52) while resetting her own program record in the 60m during preliminary competition.
In field events, Jaiah Hopf earned BIG EAST Most Outstanding Performer in Field Events honors after capturing the triple jump title (12.78m) and adding a runner-up finish in the long jump (6.14m).
DePaul also closed the championships in dramatic fashion by sweeping the men's and women's 4x400m relay titles. The men's quartet of Harper Bryan, Tyce Smith, Christian Ortiz-Velazquez and Daniel Fasasi clocked 3:11.14 to take gold, while the women's team of Kayliah Motes, Nadja Moll, Aisha Kazeem and Claire Dunn broke the DePaul school record with a winning time of 3:41.35.
Overall, DePaul's All-BIG EAST selections included 17 individual podium finishes across 10 individual events, while three relay teams also earned All-BIG EAST recognition.
