Rohizam joins DePaul after two standout seasons at Missouri S&T
CHICAGO – DePaul golf added a talented transfer to its 2026-27 roster Monday with the announcement of 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Golfer of the Year, Rizq Adam Rohizam. Rohizam spent his last two seasons at Missouri S&T, where he quickly established himself as one of the top Division II golfers in the region.
"DePaul is getting more than a skilled golfer – we are adding a competitor who has consistently challenged himself against top-level fields around the world," said head coach Ryan Jamison. "Rizq continues to raise his game, and it will be exciting to watch what he accomplishes as he begins the next chapter of his collegiate career."
After finishing the season ranked No. 66 nationally, Rohizam earned PING All-Region honors in addition to GLVC Golfer of the Year and All-GLVC honors. Rohizam helped Missouri S&T to an NCAA Regional appearance, where he finished in the top 25 individually. Throughout the season, he recorded four top-three finishes and captured two individual tournament victories. As a freshman, Rohizam made an immediate splash with a 23rd-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships.
Rohizam, also a standout student, earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and advanced to the Academic All-America ballot. During his two seasons at Missouri S&T, Rohizam left his mark on the program record book with two of the top 10 54-hole scores in school history and the second-best 18-hole score. His 2025-26 stroke average of 71.4 ranks fourth in program history.
A native of Selangor, Malaysia, Rohizam attended Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California, where he was a two-time district champion in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, he placed eighth at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in Japan while representing Malaysia. Rohizam also holds a strong position in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), where he has established himself as one of Malaysia's top young amateurs.
