Blue Demons receive award for second-straight season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - DePaul men's basketball received the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award for the second-consecutive season this week. The annual award recognizes programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball and come days after DePaul Athletics announced each of its varsity sport teams had achieved above a 3.0 for the second-straight year. This year marks the eighth all-time award for DePaul men's basketball.Â
Over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25. A full list is available here. DePaul juniors Jeremy Lorenz and Ilijia Miliasevic earned NABC Honors Court recognition for achieving above a 3.2 cumulative GPA with a junior or higher standing.Â
