DePaul Women's Basketball Engages WNBA All-Star Weekend with Community Clinic, Influencer Activation

Blue Demons participate in multiple events during historic All-Star Weekend in Chicago
CHICAGO — DePaul Women's Basketball made its mark on WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, participating in three activations that highlighted the program's commitment to community engagement, women's basketball, and building lasting relationships across the city.

Youth Clinic at The Huddle
On Wednesday, July 22, DePaul Women's Basketball student-athletes Mikaia Litza, Gina Davorija, Ally Timm, and Doyinsola Lijirin joined coaches Lisa Ryckbosch and Doug Bruno at the Deloitte-powered Huddle activation at Revel Motor Row for a youth basketball clinic in partnership with Breakthrough, a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to educational opportunity. The session was followed by a Q&A and meet-and-greet with the student-athletes and coaches.

Head coach Jill M. Pizzotti, who served as an ambassador for the WNBA All-Star Chicago Host Committee alongside other collegiate women's coaches from the region, participated in the Line 'Em Up Community Activation on Friday, July 24 at Robichaux Park, further representing DePaul's investment in the growth of women's basketball in the city.

Voice in Sport Studio Live
DePaul Athletics staff members participated in the Voice in Sport Studio Live at The Huddle, joining active WNBA athletes for a candid conversation about the lessons, challenges, and confidence built on and off the court.

Voice in Sport is a sports and advocacy company that connects and inspires girls and women in sport ages 13-23 through mentorship, original content, expert resources in sport psychology, nutrition, and women's health, and advocacy tools to drive change.

Influencer Suite at Wintrust Arena
On Friday evening, DePaul Women's Basketball hosted Chicago-based content creators in the DePaul suite at Wintrust Arena, the home of Blue Demon Basketball, during the WNBA Three-Point and Skills Challenge. The evening brought together a diverse group of local voices with strong ties to Chicago sports, media, and lifestyle communities.

The activation, which included DePaul-branded suite decor and gifting, was designed to build authentic relationships with influential Chicago voices and grow awareness of DePaul Women's Basketball ahead of the upcoming season.

DePaul Athletics plans to continue engaging this network of creators and media personalities at future events throughout the 2026-27 season.
