DePaul Women's Basketball to Face Notre Dame Nov. 14 in SoFi Shamrock Classic

Blue Demons and Fighting Irish meet at Greenbrier in West Virginia
CHICAGO — DePaul and Notre Dame announced Friday that the two programs will meet in the 2026 SoFi Shamrock Classic on Saturday, Nov. 14. The game will air live on NBC and Peacock at 12 p.m. CT from the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
The event will also include community programming featuring a local youth basketball league of around 200 players and a women's empowerment luncheon.
DePaul and Notre Dame's rivalry dates back to their first meeting in 1979 and was heightened during their days together in the BIG EAST from 2005-2013, with the Irish holding a 27-20 edge in the all-time series. The series is tied 2-2 in neutral site matchups, with the two programs last meeting in December 2021, a 91-86 Notre Dame victory.
Jill M. Pizzotti, in her second season as head coach, returns four players from the 2025-26 campaign while welcoming in seven newcomers, comprised of six transfers, including a pair of all-conference performers, and one true freshman.
Notre Dame enters the 2026-27 campaign off an Elite Eight appearance a year ago. Seventh-year head coach Niele Ivey returns three-time All-American point guard Hannah Hidalgo while welcoming in eight newcomers to the program, including five true freshmen.
Ticket packages for the SoFi Shamrock Classic are available now, with single-game tickets going on sale to the public Sept. 30.
