Luca Iaccino Tabbed to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Blue Demon forward nets a brace versus Chicago State

CHICAGO – DePaul junior forward Luca Iaccino was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday.

Iaccino scored a pair of goals to help the Blue Demons to a 3-0 win over Chicago State on Sunday at Wish Field. He headed home a Noeh Hernandez feed in the 38th minute to make it 2-0, then capitalized on a failed clearance two minutes later to add insurance before the half.

The junior finished with four shots, two on frame, in the victory.

Iaccino's brace pushed his goal total to three on the season, second on the squad, and gave him six for his career.

DePaul (2-1-2) hits the road Friday, Sept. 11, to take on Bowling Green. First touch from Cochrane Stadium is set for 6 p.m. CT.
