2026-27 is Izel's second season as a member of the DePaul Dance Team.
She began dancing at age 2 and attended Turning Point Dance Studio for 16 years. She also competed during her time at Elmwood Park High School.Â
In addition to Dance Team, Izel is a member of DePaul's chess club and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers club.Â
