Former Blue Demon women’s basketball standout Jacqui Grant was named video coordinator of coach Doug Bruno’s staff on June 18, 2019. She takes over the role of Bradley Bruno who has been named Director of Community, Corporate and Professional Relations.
Grant played her first two collegiate seasons at Illinois after a highly successful high school career at Maine South. She transferred to DePaul and played her final two seasons in Lincoln Park.
Grant joined the USF women's basketball program in November 2017 after finishing her undergraduate degree at DePaul , where she played for Hall of Fame coach Doug Bruno. She assisted with the day-to-day operations both on the court and behind the scenes, assisting coach Jose Fernandez and his staff with recruiting tasks, game statistics, video operations, travel and on-court duties. Grant brought a wealth of collegiate playing experience after spending two seasons with the Blue Demons.
She was the BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 and started in all 35 games for the Blue Demons. As a senior with the Blue Demons she led the Big East in blocks and joined the 1,000-point club for her career. Grant earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors as a senior in 2017. The 6-foot, 3-inch forward averaged 11.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
Grant was a two-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, and a two-time member of the Big Ten All-Academic Team. As a junior, she earned DePaul’s Shirley Becker Academic Award and Pat Ewers Unsung Hero award. She was a four-year starter at two major programs in Illinois.
