Katie Salmon joined the women’s basketball staff at the beginning of the 2019-20 season as a graduate assistant specializing in statistical analysis.
Salmon comes to DePaul after playing four years at Loyola Chicago where she was a captain from 2016-2018. She started all 30 games as a junior and led the Ramblers in scoring and rebounding.
Equally successful in the classroom, Salmon was named to the Missouri Valley Scholar-Athlete Team after the 2016-17 and 2017-28 seasons.
She was one four Rambler student-athletes to earn the MVC President’s Council Academic Award requiring a minimum of 3.80 grade-point average while competing in college athletics.
Salmon was a member of Loyola’s Maroon and Gold Society for senior selected by the university’s president who exhibited a dedication to leadership, academic excellence and service to others.
The newest Blue Demon and Wauwatosa, Wis. native earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics and is pursuing a graduate degree at DePaul in Sports, Fitness and Recreation Leadership.
