Women's Basketball Team Travels To Europe

The trip kicks off with five days in Austria. The Blue Demons will spend time in Vienna, Wels, Salzburg and Graz seeing the sights and playing three games. On August 20, DePaul will face Herzogenberg BBC outside of Vienna followed by a game against Gustino Powerbasket Wels BBC in Wels on August 21. After spending a day in Salzburg, the Blue Demons are scheduled to play Graz BBC in Graz.
From Austria, the Blue Demons travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia for three days. While in Slovenia, the team will play in a four-team tournament. The Blue Demons face ADD Illinija on August 25 with the consolation and championship games scheduled for the following day. The trip wraps up with three days in Venice, Italy.
The Blue Demons enter the 2000-2001 season looking to improve on last season's 18-12 record and second round appearance in the WNIT. Coach Bruno returns all five starters and 11 letterwinners that accounted for over 90 percent of the scoring a year ago.
