Women's Basketball Announces Television Schedule

CHICAGO – The DePaul women’s basketball team will make at least four appearances on national television this season. The Blue Demons will play on the Conference USA Television Network at least three times, FOX Sports Net Chicago once and possibly one time each on ESPN and ESPN2.
The newly formed C-USA TV Network will televise a total of 13 games throughout the women’s basketball season. The Blue Demons make three appearances on the network starting on Friday, Jan. 11, at UAB. The other two regular-season games are Jan. 25 against Tulane at the DePaul Athletic Center and Feb. 22 at C-USA newcomer TCU.
In addition to the network games, the Blue Demons game against Southern Miss on Jan. 27 will be broadcasted on FOX Sports Net Chicago.
ESPN will televise the championship game of the third annual Coaches vs. Cancer Challenge from Ames, Iowa. DePaul plays host Iowa State in the first round while Maryland and Mississippi State open the Thanksgiving tournament.
The 2001 C-USA Tournament, Mar. 1-4 at the DePaul Athletic Center, will have the two semifinal matchups on the C-USA Network and the championship game on ESPN2.

Blue Demons Host Intrasquad Game
Prior to the men’s exhibition opener on Thursday night, the DePaul women’s basketball team will hold an intrasquad scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. at the DePaul Athletic Center.
The Blue Demons will host a pair of exhibition games on Nov. 4 and 7. DePaul’s first exhibition contest will be against the Chicago Challengers on Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. The second tuneup will be a 7 p.m. contest on Nov. 7 against RTU Klondaika of Latvia.
The regular season kicks off with the annual Moran Realty Classic, Nov. 16-17. DePaul welcomes Arkansas State, Eastern Washington and Western Michigan to the DePaul Athletic Center.
