Ball State Squeaks By Women's Tennis

The difference in the match turned out to be the doubles point as the Cardinals claimed two of the three matches and split the singles matches three wins a piece. Karen Falduto and Rachel Dybas nearly swung the doubles point for the Blue Demons, but fell 9-7 at No. 3. Dybas was also involved in the closest singles match. She won her first set 7-5 but fell 6-7 (4), 6-4 in the final two sets.
Picking up wins for the team were Szilvia Keleman at no. 1 (7-6, 4-6, 6-3), Falduto at no. 4 (6-2, 3-6, 6-2) and Natalie Matko at no. 5 (6-1, 4-6, 6-1). The loss drops DePaul to 1-7 in dual meets.
