Baker To Leave Men's Basketball Program

CHICAGO (March 22) - DePaul sophomore George Baker has decided to leave the Blue Demon basketball program it was announced by head coach Pat Kennedy.

Baker, a native of Lexington, Ky., who did not play during the 2000-01 season, started two of the 32 games he appeared in as freshman in 1999-00. Baker averaged 2.3 points, 1.7 assists and 1.1 rebounds while helping the Blue Demons to a 21-12 record and a berth in the NCAA Tournament in his rookie campaign.

"We truly appreciate George's contribution to our program over the past two seasons and we all wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," Kennedy said. "He and his family were very enjoyable to spend time with during George's stay at DePaul."
