Blue Demons Add to Non-Conference Schedule, Agrees to Home-and-Home with USF

CHICAGO – DePaul has announced a second home-and-home series to begin in 2026-27 with the addition of a non-conference matchup against South Florida on Nov. 5 at Wintrust Arena. The Blue Demons will return the contest in Tampa in 2027.
South Florida becomes the second 2026 NCAA Tournament team to make the trip to Wintrust Arena for the 2026-27 season, following last week's announcement of a home-and-home series with SMU.
The matchup marks the return of two previous Conference USA foes and the first meeting between the two programs since the finals of the 2019 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) Finals. DePaul leads the all-time series 16-14, including a 9-6 advantage in Chicago.
USF will be led in 2026-27 by Chris Mack, who will enter his first season at the helm of the Bulls program. Mack takes over a program who went 25-9 in 2025-26 and won the American Conference Championship to earn an NCAA Tournament berth. Prior to arriving in South Florida, Mack spent two seasons at the helm of the College of Charleston program where he posted back-to-back 20 win seasons. No stranger to the BIG EAST, Mack spent five seasons at Xavier where he led the Musketeers to five-straight NCAA Tournaments and the 2017 Elite Eight.
DePaul head coach Chris Holtmann and Chris Mack are no strangers to facing off on the sidelines with eight previous meetings between the duo.
