Simmons Earns Third Team All-Conference USA Honor

CHICAGO -- DePaul's Bobby Simmons was named to the third team All-Conference USA squad in a vote by league coaches it was announced today.

Simmons, a 6-7 junior from Chicago, leads the Blue Demons in scoring (16.5 ppg), rebounding (8.7) and three-point field goals (57). He needs four rebounds to become the only player in DePaul history to have 1,000 points, 700 rebounds and 100 three-point field goals in a career.

DePaul (12-17) will open the 2001 Conference USA Tournament on Wednesday against South Florida (17-12) at Noon (CST). The game will be televised by ESPN Regional and broadcast on WAUR (930 AM) in Chicago.
