Women's Soccer Adds Sixth Signee

Women's soccer coach John Wilson announced March 6 that Ogonnaya Dotson-Newman has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for DePaul University next season. Dotson-Newman is a the sixth member Wilson's first recruiting class at DePaul.
Dotson-Newman, a native of Sonoma County, California, was a teammate of DePaul recruit Erica Keppel at Santa Rosa Junior College. At Santa Rosa, she was a the Bay Valley Conference Most Valuable Offensive Player this past season and the team MVP. In addition to earning league honors, Dotson-Newman was also named to the All-Northern California team after scoring 12 goals with 11 assists in 2000.
Along with Keppel, Dotson-Newman joins Erin Davren and Kelly Kammer of Cincinnati and Lindsey Deason and Katie Merz from Ft. Wayne, Ind. in the incoming class for DePaul soccer next season. The Blue Demons are schduled to open the 2001 season on August 31 when they host Indiana State at Wish Field.
