Parashkevova, Dybas Key DePaul At Badger Invitational

MADISON, Wis. -- Marina Parashkevova and Rachel Dybas each posted 2-1 records at the Badger Invitational held over the weekend at the University of Wisconsin.
Parashkevova beat Iowa's Cassie Haas, who is ranked 77 in the country, by the score of 6-3,6-1 and added a victory over Wisconsin's Shana McElroy, top 16 in the Midwest region, by the same score 6-3,6-1.
Dybas swept Alice Cogger of Wisconsin 6-0,6-0 and then topped Iowa's Gloria Okino 6-4,6-3.
Megan Stewart and Blair Bertram went 1-1 at the tournament while Brenda Leung and Natalie Matko had a thrilling doubles victory over Northwestern 7-5,6-3.
"It was a great tournament to see how we stack up against the Big 10 teams," DePaul head coach Mark Ardizzone said. "I thought we competed well and earned a lot of respect from these top teams."
