Men's Cross Country Earns Academic Honor

CHICAGO - The DePaul men's cross country team was recently recognized for their academic efforts by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association as one of the top teams in the nation. The Blue Demons cumulative grade point average of 3.38 earned them "All-Academic, With Distinction" honors for being just one of 25 schools with at least a 3.25 team GPA.
Overall, DePaul ranked ninth in the nation and joined Conference USA member Cincinnati in the top 10. The Bearcats were fifth with a combined GPA of 3.396. Duquesne tallied the nation's top team GPA with a 3.61 average.
Each year, the United States Cross Country Coaches Association honors the top academic programs. Teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or greater receive "All-Academic, With Distinction" honors while those between 3.0-3.25 are considered "All-Academic."
