CHICAGO - Last weekend, the Blue Demons dominated the Hawkeye Invitational, taking out Iowa, Iowa State, and Drake with ease. DePaul even managed to keep Iowa State and Drake from notching any winning matches.
The No. 11 regionally ranked women's tennis team will attempt to keep their streak going as they look ahead to three match-ups.
On Friday night, they will challenge Illinois State in Bloomington, Ill. Friday's match will mark the Redbirds' home opener. They are coming off a 0-2 weekend against Furman and Georgia.
The Blue Demons then welcome Furman to their home court on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Lady Paladin are 1-1 this season after losing to No. 3 Georgia and beating Illinois State.
On Sunday at 2 p.m., the women play Northern Illinois in Aurora, Ill. The Huskies are 1-1 this year after beating Marquette and falling to Wisconsin. Before they play the Blue Demons, the Huskies will face Southern Illinois on Saturday.
The matches should be tough competition for DePaul, but the Blue Demons are heading into the weekend strong and fresh off of success.
