CHICAGO - It was an outstanding weekend for the DePaul women's tennis team as the Blue Demons recorded a pair of Conference USA victories, beating Cincinnati 6-1 and then shutting out nationally ranked Memphis 4-0.
Against the Bearcats, DePaul got doubles victories from Szilvia Kelemen and Marina Parashkevova at No. 1 and Rachel Dybas and Megan Stewart at No. 3. DePaul also took five the six singles matches en route to the victory.
“We were spurred on by a great comeback by first doubles and a dominating performance by third doubles, which led to the domination the singles,” head coach Mark Ardizzone said. "The team really showed terrific intensity. We really came out to play inspired tennis against a conference foe."
