DePaul is 14-9 overall and 6-6 in Conference USA after falling to Saint Louis 62-61 on Saturday at the Allstate Arena. UAB is 15-8 and 7-5 after beating Houston 80-52 on Saturday at Bartow Arena.

DePaul leads the all-time series 16-10. The Blazers have won the last three meetings, including a 68-61 win on February 24, 2001 at the Allstate Arena. UAB also won the last meeting in Birmingham, a 69-68 win on January 29, 2000. DePaul's last win in the series was an 87-80 victory on January 14, 1999 in Rosemont.
Coaches
DePaul's Dave Leitao is in his first season with the Blue Demons and is 14-9. Leitao is 36-44 in three seasons as a head coach and has never faced UAB. Mike Anderson is in his first season as a head coach and is 15-8. He has never faced the Blue Demons.
