Natalie Matko Named Conference USA Co-Player of the Week

CHICAGO -- DePaul's Natalie Matko is the Conference USA Women's Tennis Co-Player of the Week for the period ending March 3.
Matko, a junior from Aurora, Ill., posted a 4-0 record, helping the 75th-ranked Blue Demons to a pair of road wins last week, including an upset of No. 56 Indiana. DePaul also defeated Indiana State. Against the Hoosiers, Matko teamed with KAREN FALDUTO posted a 9-7 comeback victory at No. 2 doubles over the IU tandem of Dominika Walterova and Karie Schlukebir to secure the double point. At No. 4 singles, she defeated Walterova, 6-3, 6-1. Matko and Falduto combined to defeat the Sycamores' tandem of Leah Esmero and Lisa Herndon, 8-2, before winning at No. 4 singles over Logan Becker, 6-3, 7-5.
The Blue Demons are 11-6 on the season.
