CHICAGO -Â The DePaul women's tennis team had a very good weekend, in fact only Mother Nature was able to stop the Blue Demons.
On Friday the Blue Demons traveled to Marquette and beat the Golden Eagles, 5-2, behind five singles victories. Saturday saw the Blue Demons, who were still in Milwaukee, shut out UAB 7-0.
Sunday's scheduled match against Eastern Illinois was canceled due to weather.
"It was a very solid effort all weekend,"Â head coach Mark Ardizzone said. "It was good to beat a pair of conference foes before the tournament starts next week. It's a good momentum builder for our team."
