CHICAGO – DePaul men's and women's cross country coach Gordon Thomson announced today the upcoming schedule for the 2003 season. The Blue Demons will compete in six regular season events before the annual Conference USA Championships and NCAA meets.
The men’s and women’s teams open the campaign on Aug. 30 in Palos Hills with the UIC Home Opener. In the month of September, the Blue Demons will run in the Purdue “Legends” Invitational and 24th Annual National Catholic Cross Country Championships in South Bend.
The regular season will wrap up with three meets in October. The month kicks off on Oct. 4 with the annual Sean Earl-Lakefront Invitational at Montrose Beach. On Oct. 18, DePaul will travel to Champaign for the Illini Challenge and a week later be in Minneapolis for the Minnesota Open.
South Florida will be the host of the Conference USA Championships on Nov. 1. The NCAA Midwest Regional meet is set for Nov. 15 in Stillwater, Okla. with qualifiers heading the NCAA Championships in Waterloo, Iowa on Nov. 23.
