Tennis Teams Set For Regional Action

CHICAGO – DePaul will send nine players, four women and five men, to Midwest Regional Tournaments this weekend.

The men’s team will send Mark Henderson, Sam Davidson, George Wang, Robert Kotrozco, and Eric Huffman on Thursday in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Wang, Davidson, and Kotrozco will start qualifier singles play on Thursday while Henderson starts main draw singles play on Saturday.  The doubles teams of Huffman/Kotrozco and Henderson/Davidson begin play on Friday.

The women’s team will send Marina Parashkevova, Gergana Ganeva, Beatrix Csordas and Petra Rehusova to Minneapolis, Minnesota beginning on Thursday.

Rehusova starts qualifier singles play on Thursday. Ganeva, Csordas and Parashkevova open singles play on Saturday. Doubles play begins on Friday.

The tournament are the strongest in the Midwest and are invite only events. The winners of the event get automatic entry into the national team indoors tournament in November.
