Women's Tennis Splits Indiana Trip

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The DePaul women’s tennis team hung with 29th-ranked Indiana before falling to the Hoosiers but then came back and swamped Indiana State on Saturday.

“The Indiana match was very close. We lost three very tight matches at the top spots,” head coach Mark Ardizzone said. “I think the Indiana players were just a little more aggressive on the big points and that is why they won.  Being in those tight matches will only make us better.

“We did bounce back well,” Ardizzone said. “It was nice to get a win after the extremely tough competition earlier in the day. Bojana Murisic had a solid day in singles.  Our goal was to use these first three matches to make us better for the rest of the year.”
