Gergana Ganeva Bows Out of Midwest Regionals

EAST LANSING, Mich. – DePaul’s Gergana Ganeva was defeated by Notre Dame’s Catrina Thompson 6-2, 6-1 in the quarterfinals of the annual Midwest Regional Championships at the Michigan State Tennis Center on Monday.
Ganeva, a junior, became the first Blue Demon women’s tennis player to reach the quarterfinals of the annual tournament.
"Gergana had a great tournament. She just ran up against a great player,” DePaul head coach Mark Ardizzone said. “She really represented us well.”
