Women's Tennis Duo Earns Conference USA Honors

IRVING, Texas - DePaul landed two players on the Conference USA women's tennis honor teams the league announced today.
Beatrix Csordas, a native of Solymar, Hungary, was named the C-USA Freshman of the Year after posting a singles record of 26-11, including an 18-6 ledger at No. 1. Csordas was also named second team All-C-USA and was joined on that team by senior Marina Parashkevova. Parashkevova, a native of Vratza, Bulgaria, was 23-10 in singles action including a 17-3 record at No. 2.
The duo also teamed to post the most successful doubles season in school history going 25-4 overall.
This is the third time in the past five years that DePaul has boasted the C-USA Freshman of the Year. Along with Csordas, Gergana Ganeva (2004) and Szilvia Kelemen (2000) have also earned that honor.
The Blue Demons finished the season 20-8 and in fifth place in C-USA.
